There's been an erosion of trust in institutions that that includes where I work in the media, that includes what you're running for in politics. matched

Um and so about 17% of Americans told the Pew Research Center in twenty twenty five that the trust and government to do the right thing matched

Is that about seventeen percent? matched

Twenty years ago it was double that, around thirty-four percent. matched

And in nineteen fifty eight when the Fen Center first started asking Americans this question, when Eisenhower was in office, seventy-three percent said they trusted the government to do the right thing. matched

The number has not risen above thirty percent since two thousand and seven. matched
