I have watched bits of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
It seems to be a show that I dip into and I do like this kind of thing in a show, a bit like Seinfeld actually, where...
You don't need to, you can pretty much pick any episode of any season and because it's a sitcom, it doesn't really matter.
It's not like it's kind of necessarily building up narrative or whatever.
You can just kind of dip in and out.
And how I tend to get into Curb Your Enthusiasm is I'll see something written up about it and it makes me laugh or I'll see a clip on social media and it makes me laugh and I think, oh, I should go and have a look at that.
So the other day I saw written down somewhere and just the mere description of it made me laugh aloud.
And it was about Jon Hamm being in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
He's been cast in a film playing a neurotic writer and so he decides, I think I'll just come and hang out with Larry David so I can kind of model myself on Larry David.
And then pretty much over the course of the episode, he turns into Larry David.
It's really funny.
In fact, it prompted a discussion with me and our friend Murph about –
But how did Jon Hamm end up in Mad Men?
Because he's so funny and almost everything I've seen him in other than Mad Men has been a comedy.
So it must have just been a fluke or something that he somehow read for Mad Men and then became super famous for a very serious role.
I find it surprising that for such a conventionally good-looking man that he is so funny.
And, of course, he leaned into that in 30 Rock where he plays that character who Tina Fey is dating and because he's so good-looking, no one ever calls him out on anything.
She's playing tennis with him.
He's absolutely useless, but he's saying how great he is.
