Yeah, I think there is something that is created in the work that only is created because the viewer is there and the viewer brings what they know, what they have seen, how they relate to things in the world, how even do they feel in the work and what do they do.

And action and creating meaning is so linked with each other.

in the pieces, and suddenly it becomes mostly because also the sideline is very even, so we're all on the same level.

It's how the action of the viewer and the action of the performer relates to each other in the space.

Yeah.

Yeah, I think if I would be aiming for a consensus, I would set myself up for constant failure.

But I'm trying to be mindful of what could be a consensus in terms of movement.

That's, I think, important because it creates the stages, but it also is something that I have to think about because...

The structure of the pieces are so open that these moments can also occur that the one who performs is reacting to the viewer.

And it can be that this moment is completely created in between viewer and performer even.

May it be like them looking at each other or a performer being very close to somebody.

I don't even say, oh, this and this and this you can do.

So it is like somehow almost like maybe a consensual agreement that is there that this can happen.

And I think a viewer who enters one of my pieces, even though sometimes you're right, it's large spaces and it's almost more the feeling you enter in a venue of like a large scale concert.

So there is many people in one spot.

So that this happens is sometimes feels very exceptional and it can feel pretty magical.

Because there is a tension in between every single person and every single person.

performer that is very palpable because things are left open what i think is interesting that even if it's a rigid structure even if it's a kind of more choreographed these things are still open because the performers have the agency or i give them the agency to create these moments

It's a mix of both.
