Friday has been the day that, like, everybody kind of agrees on not to touch.
So we might be seeing more, if you don't agree to this, we're going to take away Fridays.
And that could be something that, well, everybody agrees on.
We all want our Fridays.
Yeah, so more Monday office mandates could be ahead if the economy falters and workers start worrying about job security.
So employers might start to use that as an opportunity to be more strict on the number of days spent in the office.
So if a company, for instance, goes from three days a week to four days, there's a good chance that Mondays would be that increased day.
You know, it's the tradeoff for hybrid schedules that allow for mid-morning gym time, afternoon school pickups, dog walks, grocery store runs.
Employees are moving fluidly between work and personal time in shorter bursts across all seven days of the week.
It's really interesting.
We looked at a big study of about 134,000 employees at more than 900 organizations, which found that people now work an average of 6.6 hours on the weekend, almost a full workday, which is up 5% from a year ago.
It's a huge sea change as people make work really their own, and it shows a move from the fixed workday to something that looks a lot more flexible.
The pandemic played a big role in this.
Work patterns have exploded in the past several years, and it's what many call a work equation.
What they want from work and what they're willing to give up in return has changed.
So you really have this massive shift.
People are figuring out what works for them, and organizations have policies embracing more flexible work arrangements.
