We lived in these cottages that were all split up into flats, just outside West London.

And so there were lots of young families where the fathers pretty much were workers for Fullers.

And we had these enormous back gardens.

And because it was the 70s, at the end of the garden, there was an Anderson shelter.

And, you know, so it was a kind of... Left over from the Second World War.

Yeah.

Because it wasn't that long.

And so all of the kids would just run around.

And I just really remember that boiling summer of 76.

And all the parents, of course, because it was a different time, were very young.

So I'm sure they were having a blast, you know, all hanging out and flirting and having a laugh.

But I do really remember it as a sort of summertime memory.

I remember falling asleep with the windows open and hearing them all laughing in the garden.

And also there was a pub next door called the Walnut Tree.

And it was still also of the time when there would be a piano in the pub.

So I have a sort of, it's almost like a novel.

It's almost like I've written this novel in my head of my childhood where I would fall asleep to the sound of somebody playing something on the piano and laughter.

It's very beautiful, actually.

Well, you know, we're Irish, so music is always a massive priority, you know.

And so... Did they make music?
