Yeah, I do think these experiences are most clearly understood as distortions.
And what's a distortion?
It's a story we're telling ourselves about what's happening that diverges from reality.
All right, so let's break it down.
So that's the opposite cognitive distortion.
I'm overestimating my abilities in some way.
Why do you find this so helpful when you are working with people on imposter syndrome?

And so we see that it's actually a choice, that it is actually a distortion when we kind of look at it through the mirror or whatever the right metaphor is here.
