We're hearing a lot from leaders now who are finding their way with their teams after a layoff or restructuring situation.
Often the layoff wasn't their decision, but they are still responsible for team culture and morale.
What advice would you have for a manager in that situation?

And so part of your job as a manager in that situation is to go and have one-on-one conversations with people about this is...
I mean, to your research, a layoff is going to be a jolt for most of the people on your team in some form.
And so getting in there and having a very direct conversation.
And you know what?
You might as well start with your high performers, the people that you want.
You really want to keep on your team.
Yeah, the research you highlight in your book that I think is super provocative is, you know, even spending, I think you can correct us here, but, you know, a minute more explaining why a layoff occurred or what's the process we went through to make this decision that is disruptive and painful for a lot of people today.
