You know, in some cases they have home equity.

In some cases they don't.

So, you know, when we look at savings, we're just looking at one slice of what people have, a very important slice.

But Social Security is a very important source of income for people.

In fact, the Social Security Administration indicates that about 40% of people rely on Social Security for half or more of their retirement income.

So that just shows you how important it is.

And some of the people also have some money-making opportunities.

A lot of retirees work part-time in retirement.

And we spoke to one woman who has done a lot of work in the education field in the past, and she is also a writer.

So she freelances and has been able to supplement her income that way.

Well, one lesson I think is that Social Security is a really important source of retirement income and retirement wealth, really.

And so people need to start thinking about it very carefully.

There are strategies that you can use to maximize your Social Security, including working longer, delaying claiming.

That can actually get you a pretty sizable increase in your monthly benefit.

And for people who expect to live well into their 80s, it can be a very good move to try to maximize that income.

Yeah, I think ways that you can do this are think about how much you're saving.

And, you know, in some cases, maybe you can afford to cut costs a little bit and save a little bit more.

So that's always one strategy.

Another strategy that came through from these interviews is to think about your asset allocation pretty carefully.

And, you know, we're sort of in a turbulent time now in the markets.
