He I I covered him briefly as a player with the Indians.
He was very analytical then.
That was twenty years ago.
Um and and now he's doing it that way.
And there's there's nothing wrong with that.
I mean you can we've seen in this game you can have great success uh with with a deeply analytical mindset.
But what I like a I like that both I I like having some variety, you know, because
it it has become very uniform uh in in terms of player evaluations and everybody kind of drawing from the same mindset, the same data, et cetera.
Um so it's fun that to have not just a former player, but a future Hall of Famer, a great former player, coming in and saying, you know, we're gonna value things like
Are you a winner or you know, these things that
That are easy to roll your eyes at and yet you also miss 'em at the same time, you know.
So um but yeah, he's I mean, acquire really good players.
There's there's a good strategy and uh you know, it's working well for them so far.
Willie Adamas has not worked out so well, but maybe this will elevate him as well in that lineup.
We'll see.
But um no, I I'm all for having, you know, variety of mindsets and different ways of going about it and I have great respect for Buster Posey.
Yeah, a fascinating way to go about it.
And and maybe there was no other way to go about it 'cause it's not like you want to pull them out of your lineup for, you know, a a couple of weeks or whatever.
So um
They went into the season thinking they had the pitching depth to navigate this on whatever timetable they wanted and and they did slow play it.
