He wants to play center field this year.

He's always kind of said that being a DH was not his style, that he liked to be present on both sides of the ball, that it helped him stay in the game.

It's important to him to play the outfield, but he also didn't really like playing right field or left field.

So it seems like center field is the place that keeps him happy for now.

So that's where the Angels will put him, and he's still a good defensive center fielder.

I'll tell you one thing I've seen offensively, and I don't think the scouting reports have caught up, because Cabrera last night threw him a lot of fastballs.

The Astros pitchers threw him a lot of fastballs.

He had trouble with velocity last year, and he's not having that trouble so far this year.

Pretty much all of his hits have come on fastballs so far this season.

He's on time.

He's laying off the high fastballs that are out of the zone, something that he chased a lot last year.

He had this kind of...

hitch in his swing where he kind of brought his hands underneath and was swinging underneath a lot of these high fastballs last year, and he's gotten rid of that.

He's getting his foot down sooner.

He's really changed the way that he approaches the fastball, but the pitchers have not changed the way they pitch him yet.

I don't know how long that takes for the scouting reports to catch up, but they haven't caught up yet in the first two series, and I think he's going to feast on fastballs until pitchers figure it out otherwise.

Yeah, you kind of throw that in on ones that you think might be close.

I mean, you can kind of read the body language of everyone involved where they even start to think about maybe using it and then deciding not to at times when they do use it.

So it comes through pretty quickly.
