Texas, we need to talk.
And Texas ranks dead last for primary care physicians per capita.
So even people with insurance are struggling to find a doctor.
So if you're moving to Texas for the job market or the no state income tax, which I totally understand and I miss personally, just know you need to budget for health care access as its own separate category within your budget because the state isn't going to make that part easy.
And here's the last one, Tennessee.
I found this completely interesting because I lived there for seven years.
Tennessee is the worst state in the country for the quality of life in 2026.
One of the highest violent crime rates in the nation.
Third highest rate of drug-related deaths in America.
I know some of you are watching live right now in Tennessee.
And I'm not telling you to pack up and get up out of there tomorrow.
I'm not doing that.
But here's what I am telling you.
If you are there, you need to be even more intentional about the things you can control.
Your emergency fund, your community, your church home, your family safety plan.
Because the state-level numbers are not in your favor.
