I loved it.

Yeah, Christchurch.

Yeah, I think Christchurch club rugby scene, well, back then it was in a good spot.

I haven't played there for a few years now, but it sounds like it's a good competition and there's a lot of good players in it, quite skillful.

So, yeah, I reckon it was cool to play in that for a few years.

Not in the club rugby scene in Christchurch, I don't think I was...

nah no no nothing that comes up he does probably just young excited just trying to be like yeah playing playing a bit of club rugby so yeah so how do you end up at wakato yeah that was uh so i finished uni got got my degree and um the rugby degree they call it yeah sport and recreation management oh well done yeah yeah cheers i only failed one paper so

It was a good summer school.

But yeah, so then 2019, I was, yeah, kind of didn't really have anything with Canterbury and I didn't really know what I was wanting to do.

I didn't look for any jobs over the summer.

I was just useless.

I'm bloody useless at admin.

And then I was like, oh, shit, I'll go back and study and do a post-grad in teaching.

Because, yeah, mum's a teacher.

And, yeah, I thought, oh, give that a nudge, extra year of study.

Because, yeah, I was just a bit lost.

So I did that for six months and was playing for Lincoln Uni still.

And then ended up, yeah, I got a call from Dale Cook.

Because I didn't actually have an agent either.

So I think it would have been, yeah, 21.
