But I think the thing that stands out with Tomey is the guy can really hit.

He obviously has the bloodlines, the feel for the game, the makeup's off the charts.
And I think that's somebody that the White Sox are just excited to bring into the system.

And if they can help develop him as a shortstop, that's great.
But I think they're most excited about the bat, where you can get that blend of above-average hit and power that is not easy to find, especially when you're looking at high school talent.
Yeah, I would say so, because when you look at what the Cubs are doing so well and have continued to do so well is develop hitters.
And especially this year, I mean, you'll get a couple of emergent players from from last year's draft.
Josiah Hartshorn in the sixth round looks like one of the best young prospects in baseball.

Their 19th round pick from a couple of years ago.
Owen Ayers looks like he could be a future star.
