So you just feel like you never know.

They'll be perfect mechanics, high school kid, not a lot of miles, pitch counts, perfect, whatever.

And.

just can't stockpile innings in professional baseball.

And then you have the guy that everybody expected to get hurt and not be able to make it happen, and he ends up throwing more innings than you thought.

I think the biggest precursors and the biggest things that they're going to look at is the delivery and just injury history.

And for the guys overall that they approached here, I think there was a little bit of maybe those guys that are higher risk

I think they're planning on maybe seeing some of those guys as relievers.

Like a Carson Yasa could probably end up being a reliever.

A lot less risk there.

But when I look at a guy like Cade Townsend, seems like a really well-rounded arsenal, clean delivery, and the kind of guy that you're kind of looking for to hopefully just jump into the middle of a rotation as you continue to develop him.

But at the end of the day, you need pitchers.

And the more that you can stockpile, I think the better.

And when it comes to the high school guys...

There's also a level of risk to these kids are throwing so hard at such a young age.

It puts a different level of pressure on your arm as well before that UCL is fully developed, which they say may not really be until your mid 20s.

Some of these college charms kind of built up to that velocity and reach that mid 90s plateau or wherever they're at now, you know, a little bit more mature in their bodies progression.

So it goes all different directions.

I think with the White Sox, that's the fun part is the rock Chalowskis of the world, right?

And I know that's the obvious answer, but the top guys in the class, even to your point, a handful of years ago, you're still not seeing them for a while.
