And I think that will tell you how much mental energy and attention you ought to be directing towards something.

Because if this thing that's causing you stress is gonna matter in a year, then like, okay, let's focus our attention on it and let's like really get to the bottom of it and let's figure this out.

But if you aren't even gonna remember this thing that you're really troubled by, like in a few days or in a week, well that's probably misplaced energy to like blow up your entire day over it.

And I also think it's like weird.

Uh, like what like why do you want to instruct people how to lie better to you?

Like, I just don't get that draw to point out how someone could have better PR'd their way through a difficult conversation as if the goal is to help public figures get better at lying or concealing the truth.

Uh, or like I said, giving these lengthy responses that sound articulate.

I don't want public figures to mislead me.

I want them to tell the truth.

I want them to be transparent.

I want them to share their actual perspectives.

Like I can't sit here and get mad at them when they do.

Even if it's not an outlook that I agree with or a worldview that I share, like you can disagree with the content of what someone is saying.

I just don't really get disagreeing with them saying it at all.
