And again, they handled it weird.

really they're not like her employer right and so they're not really held responsible for her words right they're just like they can just choose not to renew her contract which is what they did but they like released a statement and all so it's like a little weird but whatever but uh this account that i'm talking about decided to take that story and run with it as an example of like legacy media protecting its own which is like
if you wanted examples of that with the Diane Rossini story, they were out there, right?

But this kind of like collective we're in this together approach made the media response, especially among people who engage in insider breaking news stuff, which is I think an ethically dubious practice, not itself an ethically dubious practice.
inherently journalistic practice, but rather the way it's conducted in the NFL, ethically dubious, that none of them really discussed this, at least for a couple of weeks, in any meaningful sense that condemned Rossini.
That is an issue.
But they chose to use this as like some kind of conspiracy that USA Today, which is not the journalism outlet it was like 30 years ago, like let's not kid ourselves, which does kind of the – we're going to pump out three pieces a day in whatever team you follow.
It's going to be all freelancers.
