And it also sounds like the, the yesterday, um, Murray's lead was extraordinary compared to what we, when we're typically talking about these leads.
Um, so that, that feels important.
Um,
Again, not like a hugely significant... If there are a couple of days where McCarthy's ahead and a couple of days where Murray's ahead and the days that Murray's ahead look a little bit more interesting, you kind of want to give it to the guy that not only has demonstrated a higher ceiling, but also...
just knows a little bit less about the offense, feels like he's got a higher ceiling.
I think that there's a good argument to be made that you want to give it to the younger guy in that scenario, but I think that the typical reason a younger quarterback struggles, half of those reasons don't apply here because McCarthy does know the offense and he does know these players.
Yeah, I would be kind of curious about...
Obviously internally what the Vikings are doing, but I think more interesting is that the Vikings seem to be getting these guys to be doing the stuff that they were not doing over the last two years.
By that I mean – and these could be also choices that they're making.
Like it could be that they're running the same plays and making different choices.
But it very much seems to be, according to Matthew Collar, has been tracking, which like thank God, has been tracking throw location for all of these quarterbacks.
According to Matthew Collar, based off of what I've seen, McCarthy's throwing over the middle much more and between the numbers much more.
And Murray is throwing deeper into the sidelines a lot more often.
That was an issue that McCarthy had throwing over the middle, especially over the back half of the season.
And throwing deep has been a problem of Murray's over the past couple of years.
I think that like...
When we were breaking down the signing, I think it came up that like either a listener said it or someone tweeted it to me and I repeated it.
But I did also verify it, but that Murray's accuracy on deep throws was like truly horrendous compared to the rest of the league, at least according to PFF's definition of accuracy in deep throws.
So having him do that was significant too.
And that's also like a piece of context that we probably should think about.
