Growing up, sorry to sound like old or whatever, but it felt like it was a norm for top clubs to send their young players on loan within the Premier League rather than having, let's say, sister clubs in Europe or elsewhere.
So the examples in my head are Jack Wilshire going on loan to Bolton, Daniel Sturridge going on loan to Bolton, let's say Ruben Loftus going on loan to Crystal Palace.
And those loan periods were really beneficial for those players to then come back to their parent clubs, whether they made it there or not.
And it just doesn't seem like that happens as much anymore.
And I do feel like part of that is because of the way I guess the ecosystem is.
Now the teams who are lower in the table have have more money to spend as well.
They're able to go to, let's say, teams in Europe, Brentford.
Quite good at this actually when you look at how how they scout in Europe and find hidden gems, if we want to call them that, and really sell them on for almost double, triple the price in a couple of years' time.
Brighton as well are a good example.
So I think the whole ecosystem's changed.
And I wonder whether we'll get back to a point where those norms that I talked about ever come back or whether they're just a thing of yes.
