When a detective calls Dave the day that Laura was found, he tells Dave that Laura is part of an investigation and asks if Dave is able to pick their kids up from school.
Dave asks what's wrong, but they say that they can't explain it over the phone.
So they agree to meet Dave at his house.
Here's where it gets interesting.
So according to the police file, when Dave greets the detective outside of his house, he's already crying.
No, the detective immediately clocks this as odd.
So he specifically asks if Dave spoke to anyone and he says no.
