All I know is at some point in the 90s, the suspect profile does get entered into CODIS when CODIS becomes a thing, but there are no hits in CODIS.
And that activity on the case, it kind of just like ebbs and flows then throughout the years.
Like it picks up a little bit in the mid 90s when a reward is announced, but like nothing happens.
It's just like dead end after dead end.
No, like that's what makes this case so challenging.
It truly felt completely wrong.
Like this killer blew into town, committed one of the most heinous crimes these officers would see in their careers, and then was gone before the sun came up, never to return again.

Detectives get this very strange letter in the mail.
