And ready to do this, ready to share my story and be part of a change in the world that I could only dream of being, you know.

For sure, for sure.

That seems more of a reality these days.

I would like to say thank you to God.

Thank you to God that my story didn't end in those dark places that you're referring to where I lost sight of who I was or my want to or drive to even continue on for my kids and those things that I had claimed to be doing it for for so many years.

Going through the motions of...

working and being a mom and being a wife and being a daughter and a sister and a friend and all these roles that you juggle um raising a family yeah you know but um I had fun doing it at the same time it was um

it wasn't a reality of the darkness that I was covering up in that every day-to-day life.

You know, like the things that I was suffering behind closed doors, you know, in my marriage or in my addiction or in my family struggles, those kind of things that I kept quiet and put on a smiling face and stayed strong for the kids and for my job.

You know, I was a teacher.

I was teaching these little kids.

I was finding my joy and happiness through their joy and happiness.

That...

um meant well but was not necessarily authentic because of the things that i was going through that i um can recognize in myself and say hey that's okay you know i faked it until i made it kind of thing a lot of times that that was best for my children you know like alexis didn't have to see me um suffering in the depths that i really had had been suffering before and even in that time you know

The boys, same thing.

My little boys, they got to see a happy mommy most of the time.

That's awesome.

And they inspired me to keep going because I had so much fun with them.

My favorite times in my life was being Miss Ashley and being their mom and taking them to church and showing off my cute little babies.
