Shugging off that notion, I grabbed my phone and threw open my door.

It wasn't until I got closer that I realized he wasn't even looking at me.
His eyes were glazed over, staring directly past me.
My smile faltered.
What the fuck is he on?
The man's gaze snapped to me.
I jolted back at the suddenness of his actions.
Without a word, he continued smiling as his eyes looked through me.
I took a few hesitant steps forward, seeing if he would follow me.
After a few moments, his head jerked around, locking onto me again.
His grin stretched even further.
Slowly, his right hand rose to face level.
