That has to be somewhat of a sigh of relief for a pitcher, right, after the previous outing, allowing five runs not getting out of the first inning to be able to have that clean of an outing, even if you're Paul Skeens, right?
Velocity on the first couple of fastballs were at 97.
Is that something that you can legitimately look at this early in the season and say, oh, well, Skeens consistently throws 99.
Maybe his velocity is down a tick or two.
Is that any type of concern?
I mean, he was back to 98 a couple of pitches later.
There's been a lot of attention so far paid to Brian Reynolds and O'Neal Cruz, of course, as the key holdovers in the lineup from a year ago.
