I think it's important for people to understand like the purpose of the Federal Reserve is to help set these interest rates.

And they have a dual mandate of keeping inflation as low as possible while also keeping unemployment as low as possible.

And when inflation rises, no one's having a good time then, but they also have to think about wait a second, we can only control interest rates.

we can't control per se the price of oil because of geopolitical tensions.
