And I suppose this is aching to the point that Tomas O'Shea, the current under twenty carry manager, um, he came out very, very strongly um during the year.

Obviously, that one of his players had been tapped up.

He was Sydney's leave and

insert and that there was an external uh member from a club in Australia was um in in in communication with him that he was analysing his games that were up on clubber and he was you know obviously building a connection with him and so on and he just thought that was very unfair um you know on the particular individual Sydney's leave insert at that age and this is probably further to a point I was thinking of as well that maybe if the GR are to move on this is

Like is it twenty or twenty one before they can come and actually, you know, begin to entice these guys over?

very, very hard to enforce it, but I I I think they need to start moving on some elements of kind of buffers to to keep them 'cause it's it's it's very open at the moment in terms of some of these guys might be approached at sixteen and the mindset of a sixteen year old as opposed to a twenty one year old in terms of being able to, you know, critically evaluate what's being put in front of you and you know

a you know a real conscientious decision.

But I I know that might be a bit far reaching, but I I I do think that there there has to be um some level of of of terms of engagement, sh shall we say, on it.

I think definitely it's, look, it's a debate worth having and I think this is the ideal opportunity really for maybe the GA to revisit this.

I think probably from the season gone, there's been a number of incidents and I think there are a number of incidents of old as well, even if we go back to the 2024 All-Ireland Club Final, St Thomas' and our Loughlin Gales.

There was a key decision made in that where our Loughlin Gales didn't get a goal and obviously it was a one-point swing to the victors.

So we're getting more of these incidents and I think it's probably on the back of obviously

the game is speeded up and particularly from a football perspective I think since the new rules it's literally a new game and the pace and the ferocity that's played I think that the game has got to evolve on a technology front as well and for me it's a no-brainer I think we have Hawkeye in three of our major stadiums at the moment so I don't see why we shouldn't have goal line assisted technology as well to complement that and to get the balance right so

I would definitely be on for that.

I suppose the VAR maybe and the TMO conversation is a broader one at the moment as well.

Yeah, I think it would be a great start.
