I think the problem is they don't have a platform and they don't have the opportunity to speak in the media.
Look, there are many countries makes it next to impossible for Palestinians to travel to them.
In the United States today, you cannot even get a visa to the US as a Palestinian.
So people, when they ask me, where are the Palestinian peacemakers?
My response is,
They're everywhere in Palestine, but nobody is giving them a platform.
Nobody is talking to them.
Maoz and I in the Futures piece highlight some of those stories.
People like Angela Mutter, for example, that we highlight, who was punished by the Israeli police for attending a peace conference
gathering and was giving unlimited amount of tickets to punish her for it.
We have our own NGO, Ma'oz and I Interact International, where we have every year a cohort of Palestinian young women who are part of a leadership program and a scholarship program that we provide.
And there are peacemakers that...
They don't get the platform that, I'm sorry to say, but Israeli peacemakers also don't get much, but get a little bit more.
And we need much more help to getting the voices of Palestinian peacemakers out.
They will talk about the sufferings.
They'll talk about the pain because we, every day, just before talking to you, I saw this video of this dad mourning his child that was just killed in a bombing in Gaza.
So they'll talk about that, but they'll talk also about our choice.
despite so much pain and suffering, to go into a path of peacemaking.
And we need to be hearing those voices.
It's very difficult.
