Yes, and they can be addressed from different perspectives in the sense that it's based on reality, something that actually happened, like the Asian Revolution or the coup d'etat in Chile.
But the perspectives from which you learn about these things are varied, and they could be the perspective of those who do not appear on history books or those who generally are not heard.
I think the House of the Spirits became a beacon for female writers because it conveyed a message that Allende couldn't have said unless she invented it, because in Chile we had a dictatorial context and she was in self-exile.
It helped to further disseminate principles of liberation and expression and resistance.
And from a Latin American standpoint, I think that other authors influenced by her
are Nicaraguan Yoconda Belli and Mexican Laura Esquivel, and is considered another example of women's magical realism from Latin America.
