You know, we've been able to um we we have one full time administrative position right now and we have this vacant one and things are working great with the one full time administrative. podcast-host

So when the Office of Management budget came with us to the with the core budget proposal of one point five six six million dollars, um we took a look at it and they said, What can you do for podcast-host

A five percent reduction for next year, and we said we'd be happy to eliminate this administrative position, which results in a four point two percent reduction of the budget, and they were s very pleased uh with with those efforts. podcast-host

So the budget that you see and that the executive committee recommended will be for one point five million dollars. podcast-host

We anticipate that the council staff will continue to operate efficiently, effectively as we have. podcast-host

I also mentioned to the executive committee that um we're doing a little bit of succession planning, preparing for the retirement of the assistant executive director Dianne Dean Montzatina next year. podcast-host

Um so we have been actively recruiting for a planner position uh to prepare for that. podcast-host

And uh we podcast-host

extended an offer this week so you should meet a new planner uh June next year. podcast-host

So we'll have eight of podcast-host

eight full time positions uh filled at that time plus our operating position of the council attorney. podcast-host

So with that, um I would ask for the uh full council to recommend the uh proposed re reduced budget. podcast-host
