Or let's try this instead.
And we're much quicker to identify what is rubbing us the wrong way and what to do about it.
Neurodiverse couples, um, maybe neurodivergent people I'll talk about first.
I think they they inherently grow up until there's a familiarity with their neurodivergence or an acceptance or an embrace of it.
They grow up with a sense of um being out of alignment or out of step or out of
you know, sync with a lot of things.
Now we all are, right?
All of us are.
But for them there's a there's a hypersensitivity, maybe a hyper awareness.
There's we know more bullying, more um oddness, cr criticism, and there's a whole rejection sensitivity dysphoria, which many people feel they're just not okay.
And now they begin to expect to be rejected.
Um so that's problematic in being able to assert yourself.
And um I hear from many neurodivergent people that their spouse's opinion of them
is just everything.
Like if their spouses
um unhappy or unsatisfied or critical, they just want to curl up into a ball and die.
And we all don't like criticism, but it seems to affect a neurodiverse person more.
And oftentimes when somebody's trying to say, hey, you know, that didn't work for me, I'd rather have this instead.
they're not criticizing the person.
They're they're asking or suggesting that the behavior be different.
