What, like, if you don't mind me asking, what happened to your father?
My parents just, they split up.
I've divorced my dad one way to, uh, to work.
So didn't see him a lot.
And yeah, so my mom, uh,
just kind of ran things and yeah, I had to be, uh, you know, kind of the, uh, the man of the house pretty, uh, at a pretty young age.
So that was part of, uh, you know, what kind of, you know, built the character that, uh, you know, hopefully I have right now.
Yeah.
A couple of guys that I reached out to that, you know, what they said, it was like, you were almost like a father figure and taking care of young guys when like Oshie and those guys came up, but that you got to credit that to, you know, as a kid being the only man in the house, you kind of be in the, being there for your mom and your sisters.
Yeah, it was a huge part of it.
And, you know, just a lot of father figures.
Yeah, I had a guy by the name of Hank Dedmarsh.
It's Adam Dedmarsh's dad that was their GM and really, you know, kind of helped me out when I had those tough questions about whether to go to junior or college.
And so when you have a guy like that, and then, you know, I looked up to Der, Der was a couple of years older, but, you know, I watched him, you know, his career kind of take off and
You know, you got role models like that in a small hometown.
It was pretty special.
Oh, yeah.
Be seen, not heard.
You sit in the corner.
The biggest part about that team, we hung out almost after every game.
