So, you know, at some stage a fund manager's got to say, well, actually all this engagement that I'm doing and all the work that I'm doing actually isn't leading to changes in the harm this organisation does.
So we need to get out of this company.
Quite possibly, and hopefully that's an outcome, Sean.
The thing is many Australians are very loyal to their super funds and they're very reluctant to change for lots of good reasons.
Some will though.
Some will use our website and other information and look around and find a fund where there's a better alignment with their values.
But one thing that people can do, even if they want to stay with their fund,
is actually to go back to the fund manager and say, gee, guys, I'm worried about some of the investments that you're making.
They don't accord with my values.
And I'd like you to consider getting out of those companies.
And it's surprising that these super funds don't actually get a ton of mail or email.
And so people doing that can really make a difference.
So, you know, those are kind of different actions that people can take.
I don't think we're gonna get a massive flood of change overnight, but I think over the generational change, you're gonna find a lot of young people saying, hey, I care about where my money goes because just like anything else that I do, the things that I buy or, you know, what I do, sustainability matters and climate change matters and, you know, ethical issues matter.
And so therefore I want to align my investments
with who I am as a person.
