You can look at pictures of the Mona Lisa, you can buy replicas of it.
But no copy is the same as the original.
The original is the only one that is the true Mona Lisa.
In the same way, biological organisms are like this.
They can be cloned.
A genetically identical twin can exist alongside you.
But that would be a twin, not the same person.
It would be a twin even if the contents of its mind were the same.
That would make it just like a perfect clone of the Mona Lisa.
And if your body died.
That would be like the original Mona Lisa being destroyed.
Even if a copy or clone survived, it's not the original.
