So right now Justin has only one version.

Of melody her versona.

Maybe eventually that versona might become good enough that it encodes all of Melody's inner psychological life, not just her speech patterns.

So if that's right.

Then Melody would count as having survived on Parfitt's view.

But if we actually find a cure for Melody's condition,

And find a way to revive her cryonic body?

Then in the future we'll have the physical melody and the versona at the same time.

And there will be two melodies, not one.

And Parfit thought, both of these melodies are perfectly valid survivors of melody.

Neither one is more Justin's mom than the other.
