It would have been, you know, I would see some comics that would be on Ed Sullivan, old comics, that I never found funny at all, you know.

I have a whole list.

I don't understand why this is funny.

So there's a period, you know, so each generation...

It just has to find its new voice.

I was watching just recently on YouTube or whatever it was, and I thought, Milton Berle.

And I remember as a kid, it was one of the first television shows that I saw.

And I thought, I've got to watch this.

He was huge, right?

He was like, you know, Mr. Television.

But the point being is there was only three channels.

But when you watch it, it's not...

funny at all.

But it's also, you know, how perishable it is.

Because even when you see some of the comedies that were once upon a time really funny, supposedly, I don't find funny at all.

Now you will find somebody will break through, but there were a bunch of those films, shows, I don't know what, something Irma and whatever, I don't even remember the names, but I would see these films, because we would go Saturday to see whatever's playing at the movie theater, and they'd been around, and I didn't find a bunch of those things funny at all.

And then this new,

wave of comedy came along.

You know, like the pythons came along was like a whole new thing when the pythons started with their English humor.

Yeah, and so there's that period of time it goes on and it's getting boring and then boom, something explodes again.
