Trump shared a video of himself that seemed as though it was a Fox News clip.
He was announcing a whole new style of healthcare in the US, focusing on cards that would give Americans access to magical beds.
It did not air on Fox News, and it was so bad, even Fox News had to come out and say, quote, The video did not air on My View with Laura Trump on Fox News Channel or any other Fox News media platforms.
I can't stress this enough.
Even though the President of the United States shared what certainly appears to be an AI-generated video of himself promising magic beds, this isn't a thing.
It's not real.
Trump or his team did eventually delete the post.
The video features a Trump-like voice saying, quote,
Every American will soon receive their own MedBed card.
With it, you'll have guaranteed access to our new hospitals, led by the top doctors in the nation, equipped with the most advanced technology in the world.
These facilities are safe, modern, and designed to restore every citizen to full health and strength.
This is the beginning of a new era in American health care.
Yes, it's basically promising Star Trek beds to people.
A little bit of digging and you can find some info about a company selling cards that are similar to what was being advertised.
The cards do not grant access to magic beds.
This whole incident requires a discussion of a couple of things.
First, and I say this again, there is no known magical medical bed.
Second, while Trump's social media is sharing fake videos promising new hospitals and top doctors, the reality is that his one big beautiful bill is reducing access to medical care.
Third, while Trump's social media is sharing a video talking about a new era in American healthcare, he's getting ready for a meeting with congressional Democrats because he wants to cut health insurance to millions of Americans.
But sadly, all of this is just normal politics.
