That's a big one.
So yes, have you have, if you can, you want your child to have friendships at school, but you also want them to have friendships outside of school because the school friendships are going to go pear-shacked at some point.
They just do because they're kids and things happen.
You want your child to have other people in their life that remind them that they're likable, that people still like them.
So when the kids at school have turned or their friendship groups turned on or dumped them, there's other people in their life, and it can be cousins, it can be family friends, it can be old friends from kindy, whoever it is, but other people that they spend time with to remember that
Um, I, I'm still, people still want to spend time with me and I'm worthy.
So there's, you know, I, I could go, I could go up with friendship trips.
Because so much of our, really, so much of our happiness in life comes down to our ability to connect with people.
Now, you don't have to connect with a lot of people, but I'm just saying your ability and whether it's even being good at conversation, being able to in job interviews, talk to people, school parents, teachers, everything, but also understanding how to cultivate and build relationships.
Deep, loyal friendships.
Because one thing that everybody has in common that I always say is what we all want is we want to have, you know, one or two, maybe three people who are our ride or dies, that are in our corner, that love us for who we are, that if...
If at 1 o'clock in the morning something really terrible happened and if you don't have a partner or you can't reach your partner or just to have a different perspective, you want people that you ring up who you know will answer your call, who are there for you.
And to have those – and you can be friendly with lots of people.
You can be friendly with lots of people.
But those two or three people –
who love you and are there for you and are cheering you on, if you want those friendships, it takes work.
It takes work.
We say to kids, it's like building a brick wall and it's showing up for people.
And every time you show up, you are making that friendship stronger.
