And as you heard, both BJ and Tony Birch had plenty of book recommendations for you.

But you know what?

I'd like to give you another one as well, another book that I've read in the last week.

And that is Sally O'Reilly's Hag Tale.

Now, this is a book that explores a number of things all at once.

There's a wolf girl living in a wild forest and she's rescued by a trio of women.

And then in a parallel story, we have a scholar-monk

who's searching for a lost library and for traces of history.

So that is sort of dark and mysterious all on its own because you're in these deep, dark forests in Britain that have a sort of fairy tale element to them, not to mention that you're coming face to face with creatures and

with wolves, which I guess harks back to one of the stories that Tony Birch and I were talking about in Inga Simpson's collection of short stories, because there's a wolf looking back at us in that one as well.

But the trio of women who come across this girl living in the woods, living as part of a pack of wolves, they're not just any women.

They are the witches from Macbeth.

Remember Double, Double, Toil and Trouble, Fireburn and Cauldron Bubble?

It's those three who emerge and look after this girl, but something is owed to them for the care that they give her.

So this girl becomes Lady Macbeth in 11th century Scotland.

So that's part of this novel.

This book is indeed subtitled A Macbeth Origin Story.
