It's important for us as growers and as family farmers to have a strong sugar policy in the farm bill because it's been issues in the past where other countries will take advantage of us, what's new, take advantage of the marketing situations.
And so then we get kind of thrown under the bus when there's big sugar dumping things and different loopholes that can cause issues in the sugar industry.
So that's been some issues that the sugar industry has had to face.
But we've done a pretty good job about making our voice known.
Well, it's great to be here, guys.
Thank you for having me and excited to talk about sugar and sugar beets today.
And like you said, we farm a lot of different crops, but sugar beets is kind of our niche a little bit.
So that's kind of when I created my social media stuff.
I like to focus on the sugar beets, because a lot of people don't know where sugar comes from and how it's grown and how important that is to us up there and to the U.S.
sugar supply.
Yeah, you know, I guess.
So when I created my social media channel, a big part of my goal was to kind of show my life values.
Right.
And so the classic faith family farming is kind of what I focus on.
So my faith is kind of what drives me.
That's what keeps me going and very family orientated and then farming.
Right.
And so with that, I try to keep it family friendly.
Sorry to friends and family.
There's like sugar beet, like literally radio stations in our areas do like sugar beet harvest shows.
