20 tons is not good right now.

Yeah, there was some areas that kind of close to that 40 ton mark.
So that's a huge crop.
Typically, 30 tons an acre, somewhere in there in the 30s is pretty standard with that 16 to 20% sugar.
It really depends on the year.
If we have a very wet year, that sugar percent will actually be lower, closer to like 16.

And it's interesting because if they do like samples throughout the year, I should mention we grow sugar beets for American Crystal Sugar Company, which is a cooperative structure.
The farmers own this sugar company and it's been a cooperative for about 50 years now.
That's a great question.
One nice thing about growing sugar beets is we don't have to worry about the marketing from the farmer's side.
So essentially the main thing the farmer's responsible for is growing the crop and delivering it at the proper time in the proper condition.
