Yes.
So back then it was a lot of small grains.
Sugar beets kind of, that's a long history.
I guess there's a lot to talk about there.
Sugar beets have a lot of roots in Minnesota, southern Minnesota, not too far from here.
I guess you would probably know some about that.
Is it roots or tubers?
it's a rut okay it was for tubers yeah um so sugar beets kind of started in minnesota 100 years ago or something you know they've been around for a long time i actually did an interview with some farmers that had them grown on their farm for 100 years last year on my youtube it's really interesting we did a panel and they like talked about how it used to how it used to be to farm sugar beets and it's just so amazing how you know things have changed over the years so that was super fun
But yeah, so sugar beets, been around for like 100 years, but our family started growing them 40-ish years ago.
Yep.
Great-grandpa.
Yeah, great-great-grandpas.
Great, yeah.

Great question.
Yeah.
So there was always something to do on the farm.
You know, like many of us, we grow up working on the farm.
We go ride with dad in the combine or whatever.
