Yes, last week we heard from Professor Carlos Lois about finding the part of the brain in tiny Australian birds called zebra finches where their song is stored.
they can operate on the nerve cells and remove the song, which persists somehow as a completely distorted version.
But after two weeks, the song returns somehow again, and this knowledge may help humans afflicted by, say, strokes.
Without practice it recovered.
