Un-effing acceptable.
Not by like eight-tenths of a second.
In terms of the realms of driving, there's a little bit of a trend sometimes across circuits, actually, where in the slow corners especially, if you try to carry a little bit too much,
mid-corner speed and try and gain time there, it doesn't pay you back.
And that must be to do with how the car turns, how much sliding you get, whether you can control it, then whether your revs drop too low, then whether, as Ed alluded to, the MG UK and the battery has to fill in for that power loss below a certain threshold.

doing then with the throttle in the medium and high speed, whether you're able to come down to 60% throttle but not less, so you don't then move on to the battery and drain it unnecessarily.
There's little moments where you go, oh yeah, he's not quite done that.
He's maybe carried too much speed into turn one in qualifying compared to Antonelli.
He's maybe a little bit scruffier with the throttle after Lecombe, where you've got the left-right sweep.
But then he's a little bit quicker through the left-hander before Pouhon.
He's a bit slower into Pouhon, slightly tighter in the first part of Fania, not as good at Stavolo.
And you kind of, in a normal Formula 1, you would even that stuff out, really, and kind of go, well, yeah, one's a bit quicker here, one's a bit quicker there.
You know, there's going to be half a tenth, a tenth faster.
a tenth and a half between them at the end maybe but because these tiny driving inputs that none of the teams really can say for sure going in that will make the difference they have to pour over the data later to try and unpick it you suddenly can think well i've done a pretty good job driving piastri and norris even closer to the point where stella was saying piastri norris were basically identical up to stavolo which they have always been
But you can see tiny differences again in the data in terms of the driving.
And then suddenly it's a two to three tenths difference because of the deployment.
And nobody can say for sure then that it's the driving aspect that's created that deficit.
It's created some of it.
