going up the hill and turning right, just that little bit skittish where they were just lacking a bit of grip.

Obviously, they've lost downforce too.

So that was quite spectacular to watch.

And I think if you'd just left it there, if I just left it there, come away thinking, this is brilliant, this is the best F1 I've ever seen.

I left Eau Rouge after maybe 25 minutes of the session and did that...

And I joined the Kemmel straight towards the end.

And then you see the other side of F1 2026, which is flashing red lights indicating MG UK not running at full power, engine note dying, cars sort of not exactly crawling because they're still going really fast, but relatively speaking, crawling towards Lecombe.

You can feel that sense of... Yeah, it's just the deceleration zone is so long and therefore they don't attack the corner in the way they used to.

Lecombe used to be a really good place to watch people having to stop an F1 car from a ridiculously high speed down to a speed at which it could do a reasonable degree of corner and you just don't get that sensation anymore.

They're driving within themselves and like Liam Lawson kind of backed this up because he said basically from the exit of Eau Rouge pretty much all the way to

through Pouhon all the way up to well pretty much Stavelo they're not they're not running at full power they're running with the MGK turned down and harvesting in fact and harvesting so it's not the same driving challenge but then you get another disconnect so if you go round to No Name which is the left-hander before Pouhon that's quite a quick corner and obviously Pouhon's a very very quick corner to the naked eye they don't look like they're going slow you're right up against the barrier they look really fast through the left-hander particularly it

And Pujon, you can still get the sense that they are really barrelling in there.

But obviously to the drivers who've been used to attacking those corners at full speed rather than at...

Rather than with that sense of deceleration, it's underwhelming.

But to the spectator, it's not.

So you get this disconnect again between what the drivers are feeling and what you're seeing from the outside.
