But we run these deficits year after year after year after year.

And the debt keeps accumulating.

And it's growing faster than the economy is.

We we have to pay interest on all of that debt, right?

That's what we're talking about when we talk about yields.

And and right now we're paying a trillion dollars a year in interest on the debt.

That's more than we spend on defense.

It's more than we spend on basically anything other than social security and Medicare.

And the more that we

borrow, the more interest we've gotta pay, and that adds even more to the debt.

And you're starting to hear investors just get a little bit nervous about how long that can continue.
