They weren't hitting the ball out of the ballpark, but they were just continuing to ride the course and stay the course and ultimately end up where they wanted to be at the end.
And there's things that they're doing this year that are very similar to what they did last year when they had a lot of success.
They don't strike out a lot.
I know we talk about sabermetrics.
Strikeout is a strikeout.
Whether you like it or not, if you put the ball in play, you have a chance to do something well because you put pressure on the defense.
They may throw it away.
They may kick it around.
You may hit it out of the ballpark.
So the fact that they put the bat on the ball last year, you saw what it did, and they're doing that again this year.
Now it's slowly starting to come back.
You get some consistency with the bats.
You get those arms back healthy.
You start to get a little more power.
You get Rodgers Center rocking in full.
See, they've been wearing the red again before July 1st.
So all those different things can get you back to where you need to be come September.
You know, I think in 2016 with the New York Mets was a very similar situation to that.
We had just gone to the World Series in 2015.
