And but that makes it like Trey Savage is a somewhat of a comparable where
You know, he doesn't exactly have the the toolkit you want to attack same handed batters in the way that many pitchers do, because he's not kind of threatening them in with fastballs moving inside, which can be really tough.
Um so they just said, Hey, like you're so good at spitting a fastball, we can make you throw kind of like an off axis like unexpected fastball that moves differently.
Let let's work on this.
I think that that is um
A thing that we're gonna keep seeing more.
The first guy I thought of that did this and it worked really well for him was Brandon Woodruff, who's um he's naturally a uh four seamer guy.
And when he transitioned to starting, you know, half a decade or ago or whatever, seven years ago, the brewers said, Hey, like we need you to throw a sinker too.
Uh it's just gonna keep people off of both better.
And you're so good at spinning these, like you're so good at getting the backspin on them and manipulating the the seams that we just want you to
Be able to throw more fastballs.
But if you don't give them a few looks, you won't be able to.
Uh the Brewers are often a little ahead of the curve on this, but this move makes a lot of sense.
If your best pitch is your fastball and you can make it move more ways while preserving what's good about it, like you should definitely do this.
It's in the same way that you see a lot of guys who um who can really uh who can really throw a slider.
They're throwing both like tighter sliders and loopier kind of sweeping sliders.
I think that that that's the key.
Like if you can highlight your best thing in a few more ways, like go do it.
And Razme's is a great example of that.
