I mean, they're repairs or improvements.
But if they're over $300 and you've got to depreciate them over their effective life, it's like you said, the $900, you would work out what the effective life of a stovetop is.
Off the top of my head, I have no idea.
But then you then get a little bit each year, so you wouldn't be able to claim it all in the one year.
If you were repairing the door or something on an oven, which obviously you're not, you're changing everything to electric, then you could claim that as a repair.
Even if it is over $300, if it's a repair and you're actually fixing the appliance or if you're repairing the same water unit, you're not actually switching it out, then you can claim that.
But if you're switching them out, then you've got to depreciate them if they're over $300.
Say you were to change...
switchboard across as well or anything else that's um like fixed you did like some renovations then that would be claimed at 2.5 percent um and depreciated each year at a very small amount um and if you're doing substantial renovations you would look to get a depreciation report done so um then they would come in and and value all those things that are fixed in the actual building itself so
