And then on top of that hours method, then you can claim like your printers and any other home office equipment if you've still got that separate –

home office.

And when they check the home office, they ask for basically a diary of the hours that you're working from home.

And they've accepted an Excel spreadsheet, which has the days and then the hours that are on there.

They might just check with your employer or get you to write a letter about what you actually do at home and the days that you're home, see your timesheets or something like that as well.

But we can generally go back through your bank statements and pick out those electricity receipts if you haven't pre-prepared, like you mentioned.

Obviously, it's good to keep track of it as you go along.

You can drop it into a Google Drive, OneDrive, have all your electricity bills, add them all up, and then we can ask you what the floor space is of the home and compare both methods.

So if you're not seeing clients at home, so if you're just an employee and they're working at home, you know, editing or producing, then they can only claim the electricity, the gas, and then apportion that.

So you can't claim rent.
