depending on which tax rate you're on, you're probably not going to get too much more than $300 from the $1,000 and $100 from the $300.
So it's not like you just get $1,000.
You also have to claim it in your tax return.
And if you go over the $1,000, you then have to have receipts and expenses and proof of all of your expenses.
So
Um, a lot of clients will jump over that thousand very quickly.
So if you're driving to work or like you mentioned, working from home, um, and you've got a significant amount of hours or you claim, you know, your mobile phone for work or anything like that, even your tax fees.
Um, like we mentioned, if you're claiming your tax return, that's 300 or $400, you get pretty close to that thousand straight away.
I think it will help some people doing their own individual returns to be able to enter the $1,000 in, get another $300 back or either reduce their tax bill by $300.
But you don't actually just get $1,000 and it won't be automatically applied.
It will just replace it.
It'll be a tax deduction.
So it'll just reduce the tax you pay.
And same if you've, I mean, if you've earned 18 grand or 20 grand and you've had no tax withheld throughout the year on that money, you're not going to be getting any money back from that thousand.
It'll just reduce your taxable income.
Yes, yeah, correct.
Yeah, if you keep track throughout the year and you've got those expenses, then you can definitely hopefully end up with more than $1,000.
There is.
So with these ones, I normally palm them off to my senior accountant, Troy.
He's very good with digging into these ones and looking all the information up.
