And I think I've lived through a period when things have changed dramatically for the worst in terms of our politics in a lot of different ways. matched

But then I also think about this line from David Bentley Hart, who is a little bit of a crazy guy but is a great religious writer about, you know, we worship a God who has set us free from optimism and taught us hope instead. matched

And that's something that I think is really important to have. matched

I have hope for the human race. matched
